At Evans & Company Family Lawyers we cater to clients who require a fixed fee in their matter.

We also charge for the time worked on a file rather than in billable units – most commonly 6 minute units. In many legal firms, even if only 1 minute is spent working on a file, a total of 6 minutes is charged to the client. This is not the case at Evans & Company Family Lawyers. We charge for the actual time spent working on a file.

Clients often request that a fee be fixed for a particular task. We are happy to agree on a fee where appropriate. Most commonly, this is for a particular task, a divorce or where the parties are in agreement and we are required to document the agreed settlement in respect of financial and or parenting issues.
