Three New Countries Sign The Hague Convention

Attorney-General Nicola Roxon announced this week that three new countries are now a party to The Hague Convention on Child Abduction: Ukraine, Singapore and Albania.

Attorney-General Nicola Roxon welcomed Australia’s new relationship with these countries. “Children deserve to be protected from the harmful effects of child abduction”, Ms Roxon said. “Child abduction across international borders, in particular, can be especially harrowing for the children and their parents.”
